You can sign up for our weekly home delivery cloth service by month or you can prepay for 6 months or 1 year. We also require purchase of one of our three Starter Packages (Basic, Essentials or Preferred) which contain important accessories for your cloth journey. Once you sign up the next step is scheduling our initial meeting. Whether you are completely new to cloth diapering or are familiar and confident, we are here for your success. We will be here every step of the way! We will show you how to diaper your baby, handle the dirty diapers and how to handle the pickup/dropped off the diapers. The initial meeting is when you will receive the starter package you selected and your first diapers!
On the day you sign up, you'll pay for the first month of diaper service, the Starter package of your choice and any add-ons you might want. The first month of service won't start until the day we pick up the first batch of dirties, so feel free to sign up as far in advance as you would like even before baby arrives (but please try to give us at least two weeks notice, if possible).
On your first monthly bill, you will receive an invoice asking you to set up a new payment method for your recurring charges.
We do not offer refunds for unused service, but you are welcome to cancel at anytime but request 30 days notice since we set aside 2 sets per family. Just let us know so we can schedule a pick up when you are ready to end your service.
We currently accept Credit, Debit, Paypal and you can link you bank account for recurring billing. You must prepay in advance for your service though. We do not accept cash or checks the day of drop off/pickup.
Whether you choose cloth or disposable diapers, you should change your baby at least every two to three hours. Frequent changing reduces the chance of diaper rash. Bacteria begins to form as soon as a baby wets or soils the diaper. Leaving a wet or dirty diaper on a baby for prolonged periods can cause irritation and compromise the skin to the point of infection. Just as you would not want to wear dirty undergarments neither would baby. While people who use disposables think leaving a wet or dirty diaper on a baby as long as it feels dry is okay, it is not healthy. Chemicals are used to make disposables seems dry but that does not mean it’s clean! Think of it in terms of feminine pads while they may absorb liquid they are not clean or comfortable. As a first time mom or just for a refresher, here is some really great info on baby poop from our friends at the Charleston Birth Place.
We love our Osocozy and Luludew cotton pre-folds! They are absorbent and durable!
We make our own soap and have for years. It is very gentle on skin, safe for even sensitive skin, environmentally friendly, and effective in getting everything clean and sanitary. While we prefer to never use Bleach and do not use it on a weekly basis, we do have to use it on occasion. Our process includes a 6 step washing and drying process that cleans and sanitizes the diapers.
When we do our initial meeting we will show you how to handle the diapers. It is an easy process and takes the hard work out of cloth diapering! Just change baby and put wet diapers right into the pail. When baby starts to have solid poop, it needs to be shook off or plopped into the toilet. No rinsing. Just put it in the pail.
We offer a natural an organic diaper balm that is a chemical-free option. The twist-up design helps keep fingers away from balm and glides on smooth to help protect baby’s sensitive skin. With added melaleuca in our formula to keep bacteria away from our stick.
Ingredients: *unrefined shea butter, *almond oil, almond oil, beeswax, *calendula oil, vitamin E, essential oils of: bergamot, orange, lime, grapefruit, lemon, melaleuca oil. *organic
If you choose another diaper rash cream make sure it is free of zinc oxide, fish oil, cod liver oil or petrolatum . These are terrible for cloth diapers. They can cause residue buildup over time, staining the diapers and reducing their absorption.
We get this question very often. Our service is a weekly delivery service. If you want us to wash your diapers, you need to have enough diapers for 2 weeks (one week that you are currently using and the second weeks diapers that we have to wash, dry and return). Depending on the age of your baby, you would need 100 - 160 diapers if you are cloth diapering full time. We do not guarantee to be able to get all the stains out of your diapers, depending on the type of diaper you are using. On average this service is $80 per month plus delivery. Stuffing pocket diapers is not included in the service. Diapers and liners will be stacked in your pail liner. We do not offer diaper stripping. For more info check out our Wash My Stash option here.
